You might say cooking is part of Lori’s DNA. Her maternal Grandmother operated a restaurant, her maternal Grandfather operated a cooking school in Portland, and her Mother was an incredible cook. Lori’s love of cooking was sparked by memories of her Grandmother’s wonderful Japanese cuisine, and time spent learning the craft by working alongside her Mother…even before going to Kindergarten!
Lori’s Asian-cooking style is healthy, easy, and delicious; an extension of the interest in her Japanese heritage. She has offered cooking classes at Marlene’s Market & Deli in Tacoma and Federal Way, Washington, and for Keiro Northwest in Seattle, Washington.
